Business Challenge

As the RAS 1B Test Lead I was directly responsible for managing 7 Test Execution Leads (TEL) from all work streams, regarding the test -preparation, – planning, gateway’s, – kick off and – execution (progress and defects)

First Point of Contact

I was managing 75-100 testers located in 5 rooms in Cologne, being the first point of contact regarding testing (training, system access, support) of FS-RI functional customisations (requirements / MDL’s), configurations and Change Requests

Test Manager

Running and organizing Test Entry- and Exit-gateway’s for:

• Scenario Test SCT2 & SCT3
• Data Migration (Load Cycle Test LC2, LC3 & LC4)
• Legacy Test (LG1 & LG2)

Test execution mainly took place in Cologne (GER), Stamford (USA) and Sydney (AUS)

Other activities

1. Running daily defect meetings with TEL and PM’s
2. I was responsible and accountable for the Testing room facilities (Hardware/Network)
3. Room allocation to testers
4. Accepting an entire new floor for testing in Cologne.
5. Replacing the Gen Re International Test Manager
